Oops There Goes

Good Evening
I thought about what title I should come up with this one.  I was listening to our local great jazz station and Frank Sinatra came on singing an interesting song and these three words kind of stuck with me. So thank you Frank for your help.  It has been a very rainy and freezing day here in the midwest.  A great day to finish out a painting and get it ready for a possible purchase.  It is 16 x 20 with a 2 and 1/2 edge on white matboard.  Hope that you enjoy it and keep stopping back.

Inaugural

I named this particular watercolor "Inaugural".  It is size 16 x 20 with a white matte of a 2 and 1/2 edge as it is a very important day of receiving President Obama and Vice President Biden to be our nations leaders for the next 4 years.  I am very proud to have them doing their work in our nations capitol.   I hope that you enjoy my painting and you may kindly let me know if you do!  Thanks for looking and I appreciate your responses!  See you soon again!

Impassioned

Afternoon
While I listen to the loudness of a neighbor sawing down a tree--thank goodness--I get very reflective as to the combination of the lines and colors in this particular painting.  This is a 16 x 20 white matted with a 2 and 1/2 edge.  I had taken several brands of watercolor paint and actually an acrylic color to lay at the beginning of the painting. I have began to use acrylic paints as my beginning color.  To let that acrylic dry and begin my watercolor useage.  The acrylic seems to hold out well and the watercolor paints do not mix as easy and turn into unforgiving lightfastness.   I love dark watercolors that give my paintings the "colorist" mode that I am known for.  Thanks for looking and reading and give me your comments.....See you soon

Wandering

Afternoon
Well it has been a few days since I decided to put a painting on my blog.  Here is a 16 x 20 watercolor on a white matte with a 2 and one half edge.  I was really excited about this particular piece today.  It has been a very busy time the last week and I finally got the painting in last night and today to make this one come to life.  I hope that you enjoy it.  Let me know....Will be back later!!!

Its Just Lucky

I just finished this 11 x 14 watercolor.  It is mounted into a white matte with a 2" edge.  I felt lucky to have the opportunity of time to do what I so love to accomplish.  Fine watercolor paintings for the world to see, appreciate, and purchase.  I am glad to have found my love in abstract expressionism.  I love color and the ability to place the lines and color to intermix and make a suggestion as to how I was feeling at the time.  It comes from the mind and soul.  Thanks for viewing.

Good afternoon

I had started this particular painting several days ago and got around to finish it this afternoon after doing my weekly cleaning of the house.   I like painting better but when cleaning needs to be done--well it has to be done.  My wife is already starting spring cleaning.  Hey its January and the temp is 45 and may be almost 60 tomorrow.  In Iowa!  Anyway this is a watercolor in 16 x 20 size with a 2 and one half inch white matte.  Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.  Leave me a comment if you wish.
