Good afternoon.  Here is my new 16 x 20 watercolor painting.  I really was excited to try out some plastic devices that had not been thrown out.  They had some wide areas that made it possible to scoop up and spread the watercolor just like acrylic.  Some with edges like a comb.  Had a fun day with the colors and materials to "Transmit" this into my painting.  Hope you like it.

Into The Blue

Good evening.  This is my new 16 x 20 watercolor.  On my google+ I did not have a title prepared.  A lady that looked at my blog came up with this title.   I thought it fit just fine.
This is in a 2 and 1/2 white mat.  It is prepared to go to one of the galleries soon to be purchased.  Hope you like it!  Let me know.

New Day

This is my new watercolor on 140 lb paper.  The size is 34 x 28 including the 2 and 1/2" white mat.  I usually do not go with the larger size of paintings.  But I thought I would try since I did have a watercolor in this previously that needed to be changed.  Hope you like it.  Please let me know.  That really does help us artists!  Check out  Darrellwahlstrom Google+ also.

Good afternoon.  Here is a new 11 x 14 watercolor on 140lb watercolor
paper.  I love to design the watercolor and place the color in its respectable
place.  When the paint is applied with water the fun with lines are tremendous.  I have a great amount of dedication for this element of art!
It takes your mind, feelings, ideas and places them on the page as you see it.
I love abstract work!!  Hope you do too.

Three Strikes

Good hot and muggy morning.  Sorry that it has been a while since I put in a new painting for my blog.
Time to get back at it and hope you missed me putting in my work.  Anyway here is a new 11 x 14 watercolor on 140 lb paper.  I used a scraper to load several colors of watercolor.  I then decided in which way I was to "scrape" the watercolor to form the design that my inner thoughts were providing.  I am a "line" guy.  I like to always put in my lines and scrapes.

Roller Coaster

Good afternoon.  Here is a newer 11 x 14 watercolor on 140lb paper.  I used browns mixed with reds.  I love placing purples and blues together.  I also mixed some yellow and blues to make green.  I hope you enjoy this painting and share this with your friends and family.  Read my bio.

Good breezy afternoon!  Holy smokes!  Really cold, ready for rain and windy!  No wonder I find peace in my studio with great music and ability to paint an abstract.  This is a 16 x 20 on 200lb paper.  This took me a couple of days to come up with the idea and place the certain blues and yellows in the certain spots.  Hope you enjoy this.  Let me know.  Check out my bio.

Color Installed

Welcome to my blog.  Here is my new 16 x 20 watercolor with a 2 1/2 white mat.  I really enjoyed placing quite a few lines in several directions on this painting.  It can really bring interesting proportions of color in different sections.  A white mat really brings these colors out.  Thanks for looking.
