Magnetic

Good afternoon.  This is my newer 11 x 14 watercolor on 200lb paper.  I named this "Magnetic" as I felt that the colors were very attachable to your eyes.  That the sequence of lines and colors brought you to the inner and outer surroundings of the painting.  Hope you like it.  Tell your friends to take a peek at my blog.  Thanks for looking and see you back soon!

Secret World

Welcome to my new 16 x 20 watercolor on 200lb paper.  I called this "Secret World".  I heard some words on the radio and kind of translated those into what I was trying to paint.  Hope you like it. Tell your friends of my blog.  I really love to use the orange, purple, and yellows that I instigated into the development of this watercolor. 

Monday Approach

Good Morning.  Hey its spring here and still in the 20's.  Come on spring!!
I named this 16 x 20 watercolor on 140lb paper "Monday Approach" as it was finished today.  A Monday.  I started this several days ago by selecting my watercolors to interact and mingle together.  Tell me what you think.

Another Time

Good afternoon kind blog viewers.  This 16 x 20 watercolor is named "Another Time" as I was painting at a different time of the day and this was inspired by a great jazz guitar player Brian Hughes.  I was listening to his Fast Train To A  Quiet Place cd and these colors came to me to join in several senses of color togetherness, lines, and distinct values of positions.

Good Day

Hello----Well it is 50 some degrees today with the snow melting.  I have this great 11 x 14 watercolor on 200lb paper.  I just had to name it "Good Day".
I used a lot of yellow's and orange.  I have been trying to cut down on red as I do use that color a lot.  But I love the color red and it is close to reach in my studio. How do you enjoy this particular painting.  Does it excite you, calm you, or make you wonder?.  Now be nice if you respond.  Hope you like the painting and always stop back and tell your friends about my blog.

Open Road

I am very happy that I can share this new 11 x 14 watercolor with you  today.  I really have good luck with Blick , l'Aquarelle by Sennelier, and Lukas watercolors.  I haven't found one particular brand as these three really work very well and make me guess at what color from what brand will work better with the painting that I am composing.  I really like my 200 lb watercolor paper.  I like the ability to compose without worrying about the paper getting out of control.  Hope you like this original painting.
